Treat your audience by stepping back in time to 1929.  An unforgettable night awaits them at The Speakeasy Murder & Other Acts of Prohibition. Bootleggers, gangsters, and flappers are all dancing The Charleston. Bribes, secrets, and surprises are the currency of the evening and the murderer is revealed based on how the audience votes! In this world of jazz, prohibition, and back-alley deals, nothing is what it seems.  

Licensing for this hilarious dinner show is available to Equity Waiver theatres (99 seats or less), community theatres, dinner theatres, and educational theatre productions. A license includes all live performance rights for the duration of your production dates, along with ten copies of the script. Audio cues can be provided at an additional charge. Screening scripts are available for purchase in both electronic and physical formats.

About The Show

Step back in time to 1929 and prepare for an unforgettable night at The Speakeasy Murder & Other Acts of Prohibition! As soon as the doors open, the action begins. Arrive early to soak in the lively atmosphere of a New York speakeasy, complete with music, comfortable seating and signature cocktails crafted for the occasion. The room buzzes with bootleggers, gangsters, and flappers dancing The Charleston. But don't get too comfortable—this isn’t just any night at the club. When the music stops, someone is going to be murdered, and you’ll be right in the thick of it.

With colorful characters weaving through the audience, this is more than a show; it’s an interactive experience. Each guest can play detective (or accomplice) as much or as little as they wish. Bribes, secrets, and surprises are the currency of the evening, and every twist depends on your votes. Will the killer be unmasked, or will they get away with it? In this world of jazz, prohibition, and back-alley deals, nothing is what it seems. For the next two hours, eat, drink, laugh, and solve the crime—but remember, at this notorious speakeasy, someone always ends up swimmin’ with the fishes and someone else is sent to the big house!
